O sorteio do Mundial de Clubes FIFA tem lugar em Miami, Estados Unidos. O Botafogo garantiu o último lugar na primeira edição do
Mundial de Clubes alargado a 32 equipas – que vai começar em 12 estádios dos Estados Unidos a 15 de junho de 2025. A final terá lugar no Estádio MetLife em East Rutherford, Nova Jersey, a 13 de julho.

A total of 32 teams will compete in the tournament, with places distributed as follows between the international football confederations:
Africa: 4 CAF teams.
Asia: 4 AFC teams.
Europe: 12 UEFA teams.
North and Central America, Caribbean: 4 Concacaf teams (plus Inter Miami as hosts)
Oceania: 1 OFC team. Via ranking pathway.
South America: 6 CONMEBOL teams
