As of September 5, 2024, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris (Democrat) has a 3.1-point lead over former President Donald Trump (Republican) in the latest average of national polls, collated by FiveThirtyEight – an ABC News-owned pollster.

ABC will chair a televised debate between the two presidential candidates on Tuesday, September 10 at 9pm ET (0100 GMT) – a high-stakes clash that could give the perceived winner an advantage in the run-up to the election on Tuesday, November 5.
