August 5, 2024 - Nos Jogos Olímpicos de Paris, o velocista dos EUA Noah Lyles conquistou o ouro nos 100m por apenas cinco milésimos de segundo, à frente de Kishane Thompson da Jamaica. Todos os oito atletas correram abaixo dos 10 segundos, sendo a corrida mais rápida da história.

All eight men finished within 0.12secs of claiming gold, while Oblique Seville finished 8th with a time of 9.91 -- enough to secure 4th at Tokyo 2020.

Noah Lyles hit his top speed of 43.6km/h at 60m to push into medal contention -- closing race better than any rival to clinch gold on the finish line.
