Iìndia recebe cimeira do G20 em Nova Deli

September 9, 2023 - September 10, 2023 - O Primeiro ministro Narendra Modi vai receber cerca de 30 chefes de
estado e outros dirigentes na cimeira do G20, onde a guerra na Ucrânia e as relações com a China deverão estar no topo da agenda.

The G20 major economies consist of 19 countries and the European Union (EU), making up about 85 percent of global gross domestic product (GDP) and two-thirds of the world’s population.

Travel and access to Delhi, known for having a high population density, is expected to be severely restricted ahead of the event as world leaders like Joe Biden, Xi Jinping, Emmanuel Macron and Justin Trudeau will reach the city to attend the multilateral event.

Vladimir Putin is too “busy” to attend the summit, the Kremlin has said. Russia will instead be represented by the country’s foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov.
