Receitas do produtor de chips de IA Nvidia mais que duplicam

August 24, 2023 - A Nvidia, o principal fornecedor de hardware e software para inteligência artificial (IA), viu as suas vendas disparar com o aumento da procura por IA.

Nvidia, a dominant supplier of artificial intelligence (AI) hardware and software, has seen its sales skyrocket as demand for AI computing soars.

The technology giant reports its revenue jumped to above $13.5 billion in its second fiscal quarter (the three months to the end of June 2023), after a strong performance by its data centre business, which includes AI chips.

Nvidia predicts sales will soar even further in the current quarter (the three months to the end of September) to around $16 billion, and plans to buy back $25 billion of its own stock.

The revenue surge is far greater than Wall Street expectations, equating to a rise of around 101%, compared to the same time last year.

Nvidia hardware underpins most AI applications, having cornered around 95% of the market for machine learning.
