December 9, 2022 - A Croácia foi aceite na zona Schengen de livre circulação, mas a Bulgária e a Roménia foram rejeitadas após oposição da Holanda e Áustria, que os acusam de serem brandos na imigração ilegal.

Politicians in Bulgaria and Romania have argued that the influx of migrants into Austria is primarily via the west Balkan route, including Hungary and Croatia, where numbers have practically doubled each year for the past three years, reaching 128,000 this year.
