Óscares 2021: Nomadland conquista Melhor Filme

April 26, 2021 - “Nomadland” ganhou o Óscar de Melhor Filme. O filme da Searchlight Pictures, baseado no livro de 2017 de Jessica Bruder, conta a história de uma viúva despedida numa jornada de sobrevivência. Frances McDormand -- estrela de “Nomadland’s” -- venceu o Óscar de melhor atriz.

The best actor award goes to Sir Anthony Hopkins for “The Father.”

The best director went to Chloe Zhao for “Nomadland,” Zhao becomes only the second woman to win this category. Kathryn Bigelow previously won the award for “The Hurt Locker” in 2010.

The best supporting actor went to British star Daniel Kaluuya for “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The best-supporting actress prize went to Yuh-Jung Youn for “Minari.”

“Mank,” which led the field with ten nominations, scooped up production design and best cinematography. At the same time, “Sound of Metal” won best film editing and sound.

“Another Round,” directed by Thomas Vinterberg -- a Danish film about four middle-aged white male friends experimenting with alcohol -- won the International feature film award.
