Conflito Arménia-Azerbaijão ameaça oledutos e gasodutos
October 15, 2020 -
Os recentes combates entre forças da Arménia e do Azerbaijão suscitam
preocupações quanto à segurança das condutas que transportam
o petróleo e gás do Azerbaijão para os mercados internacionais.
Azerbaijan accused Armenia on Wednesday of trying to attack its gas and oil pipelines and warned of a “severe” response as tensions rose sharply around a fraying ceasefire in the mountain enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh, Reuters said.
Armenia denied the claim and said Azeri forces were trying to seize control of the tiny territory, which is governed by ethnic Armenians, despite Saturday’s humanitarian ceasefire.
The conflict zone lies just 30-40km from the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) crude pipeline, Azerbaijan's main oil artery to world markets, and the South Caucasus gas pipeline (SCP), linked to Turkey and Europe, according to analysis by S&P Global.
