Paris encerra bares e decreta alerta vermelho para a Covid
October 5, 2020 -
Todos os bares, ginásios e piscinas de Paris vão fechar com o alerta
vermelho de coronavírus na cidade após aumento de infeções.
Paris is closing all bars from Tuesday, October 6, after the government raised the city's coronavirus alert to maximum following a dramatic rise in infection rates.
France's maximum alert level is triggered when the infection rate in an area exceeds 250 infections per 100,000 people, and when at least 30% of its intensive care beds are reserved for coronavirus patients.
Bars, gyms and swimming pools will be closed for two weeks in a bid to hinder the spread of the second wave of the virus. But restaurants can remain open if strict hygiene rules are adhered to.
On Saturday, October 3, France reported almost 17,000 new cases of Covid-19 – nearly 10,000 more than at the peak of the first wave of infections on March 31.
On September 26, Marseille closed all bars, restaurants and gyms for two weeks.
