Trump, at the age of 70, became the oldest incoming president when he won the White House in 2016. If he was to secure a second term, he would leave the White House as a 78-year-old.

If Biden wins the 2020 election, he would become America’s oldest serving president at 78 years of age, topping Ronald Reagan, who was 77 when he left office in 1989. Biden would be 82 at the end of his first term.

On average, U.S. presidents are inaugurated at 55 years of age.

John F. Kennedy was the youngest person to be elected president, at 43 years of age in 1961.

The youngest person ever to assume the presidency was Theodore Roosevelt, who was 42 years old when William McKinley was assassinated in 1901.
