Público dos EUA dividido sobre a vacina contra a Covid-19
September 23, 2020 -
Cerca de metade dos americanos diz que não levaria a vacina para a
Covid-19, se estivesse disponível hoje – há quatro meses eram 27%.
A survey of over 10,000 U.S. adults has found intent to get a Covid-19 vaccine has dropped sharply across the majority of political and demographic groups.
Around half of those polled (51%) said they would definitely or probably get a vaccine to prevent Covid-19 if it were available today. Whereas 49% said they definitely or probably would not get vaccinated at this time.
Intent to get vaccinated has fallen from 72% in May, a 21 percentage point drop.
Of those who said they would take the vaccine, only 21% said so definitively – half what it was four months ago.
The decline in favour of a vaccine stems from widespread public concerns about its safety and effectiveness. In fact, 77% of Americans think a vaccine will be rushed to market before it has been fully tested.
