December 16, 2019 - O sorteio dos oitavos de final da Liga dos Campeões te lugar em Nyon, na Suíça, quando o torneio chega às fases a eliminar. Os vencedores dos grupos são emparelhados com os segundos de grupo, com os jogos da primeira mão a disputar a 18/19 de fevereiro.

Seven former Champions League winners remain in the tournament, including last season’s victors Liverpool, perennial favourites Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, led by the competition’s top marksman, Robert Lewandowski. Elsewhere, relative new boys Atalanta -- making their debut this season -- and Leipzig, who have only one previous group stage appearance, complete the highly competitive line-up.

The final will be played at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, on May 30, 2020.

The UEFA Champions League is contested by the highest ranked teams of the strongest UEFA national associations. It is the top club competition in European football and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world.

The Champions League final is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide. The final of the 2012-13 tournament had the highest TV ratings to date, drawing 360 million television viewers. It was played at Wembley Stadium in London, England, where Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund in the first all-German Champions League final.
