Flamengo e River Plate disputam a final da Copa Libertadores

November 23, 2019 - A final da Copa Libertadores 2019, a principal competição de clubes da América do Sul, será disputada no Peru entre os brasileiros do Flamengo e os argentinos do River Plate.

The match, initially scheduled to take place in Santiago, has been switched to Lima’s 80,000 capacity Estadio Monumental due to a wave of demonstrations in the Chilean capital.

Previously played over two legs, this will be the first single match final in the history of the tournament. Argentina (25) and Brazil (18) have won 43 of 58 Copa Libertadores titles between them.

River Plate have won the Copa Libertadores four times, and are the defending champions.

Flamengo, who currently top the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, are aiming to win their first Copa title since 1981.
