Nomeações para o Óscar 2019

January 22, 2019 - O aclamado filme da Netflix “Roma” conseguiu uma nomeação para melhor filme e várias outras para os prémios da Academia, quando o serviço de streaming continua a quebrar as velhas barreiras de Hollywoods.

Meanwhile, Disney’s “Black Panther,” a part of the studio’s Marvel Cinematic Universe, scored the first-ever best picture nomination for a superhero movie.

The Academy of Motion Pictures is reportedly planning to go host-less following the exit of actor and comedian Kevin Hart who pulled out after a social media storm surrounding homophobic remarks he had posted years previously.

Last year, the Oscars hit a new ratings low, declining 20 percent and averaging 26.5 million viewers. Though ratings for award shows have generally been dropping, the downturn prompted the academy to revamp this year’s telecast.
