April 25, 2025 - A new survey of U.S. citizens highlights the uncertainty sowed at home by President Donald Trump’s controversial tariffs, with many living in fear of rising prices and recession.

A new survey of U.S. citizens highlights the uncertainty sowed at home by President Donald Trump’s controversial tariffs, with many living in fear of rising prices and recession.

According to poll results based on interviews with 1,260 U.S. adults, 76% of respondents think the price of U.S. goods will rise and 80% are concerned the U.S. will enter a recession.

Most Americans (80%) are feeling financial stress, with 45% having to deal with major stress over their personal finances. Notably, Democrats and independents report more financial stress than Republicans.
