China “vecht tot het einde” tegen heffingen Trump

By Ninian Carter

April 8, 2025 - China has vowed to “fight to the end” and not bow to “blackmail” from the U.S. as a global trade war ignited by President Trump’s severe tariffs shows little sign of ending.

China has vowed to “Fight to the End” and not bow to “blackmail” from the U.S. after President Trump threatened to slap additional 50% import taxes on China unless it withdraws its retaliation against his earlier tariffs.

According to two influential bloggers in China, authorities there are considering a slew of new levies on U.S. imports, including farm produce and Hollywood movies.

Also, the importance of the U.S. as a trade destination for China is not what it used to be, with shipments down from 21.4% of all exports twenty years ago, to 14.7% in 2024.
