UEFA Champions League 8e finale, return, 12 mrt

March 12, 2025 - Europe’s new UEFA Champions League season continues with the Last 16, second leg matches taking places across Europe. Ties of the round include an all-Spanish heavyweight clash between reigning champions Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, while Dortmund -- with tournament top goalscorer Serhou Guirassy -- travel to Lille after first leg stalemate. Elsewhere, Premier League flyers Arsenal and Aston Villa both look to secure progress against PSV Eindhoven and Club Brugge respectively.

The 70th season of Europe's elite club competition, and the 33rd since it was renamed the UEFA Champions League, this is the first under the new format. It kicks off on 9 July 2024 with the qualifiers, and runs until the final on Saturday May 31, 2025 at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.

Real Madrid are defending champions having defeated Borussia Dortmund in the 2024 final.

The UEFA Champions League is contested by the highest ranked teams of the strongest UEFA national associations. It is the top club competition in European football and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. The Champions League final is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide.
