President Donald Trump’s cabinet member choices come from a wide range of backgrounds, including politics, finance, entertainment and Fox News, but virtually all of them have one thing in common – they’re millionaires.
Using financial information required to be disclosed by cabinet nominees ahead of their confirmation hearings, Bloomberg has tallied the assets owned by each of Trump’s picks.
At the top end, Commerce Secretary nominee Howard Lutnick has disclosed assets of at least $806 million, while Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent has amassed a fortune of $521m, and Secretary of Education nominee Linda McMahon has $416m – stemming from her ownership stake in the WWE professional wrestling empire.
At the lower end, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins has a more modest asset portfolio of $783,000, while Secretary of State Marco Rubio has an almost paltry by comparison $37,000 in savings.
