December 2, 2024 - Syrian and Russian jets have intensified air attacks in northwestern Syria as the government of President Bashar al-Assad tries to slow the advance of opposition fighters.
The raids on Monday followed big gains by the opposition over the past few days that has greatly shifted the front line in Syria’s long-running war.
At least 25 people were killed when Russian and Syrian forces struck the rebel-held city of Idlib on Sunday, as President Bashar al-Assad vowed to crush insurgents who had swept into the city of Aleppo, Reuters said.
