November 13, 2024 - President-elect Donald Trump is filling key posts in his second administration with some of his staunchest defenders and loyalists as he prepares to return to the White House.

Trump has announced Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest person, will run a new Department of Government Efficiency (or “DOGE”) alongside investor and former Republican primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

Trump has also selected Pete Hegseth as his secretary of defence, and former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe will serve as the CIA’s director, among others.
