Harris 32 punten voor op Trump in peiling onder jonge Amerikaanse kiezers
September 25, 2024 - A new Harvard Youth Poll shows Harris leading Trump by 32 points in a two-way hypothetical scenario – a marked increase on the 19 point lead Biden held over Trump in the Spring.
A poll of likely voters aged between 18 and 29, by the Institute of Politics at the Harvard Kennedy School, puts Kamala Harris 32 percentage points ahead of Donald Trump, reflecting how young people are becoming more engaged in the U.S. presidential election.
The poll shows Harris leading Trump 64% to 32% in a two-way hypothetical scenario.
This is a marked improvement on a similar two-way poll by the institution in April, between Biden and Trump, which put the president 19 points ahead – 56 to 37 percentage points.
When including all the candidates, of which there are five, the latest poll shows Harris leading Trump 61 to 30 percentage points.
The Harvard Youth Poll surveyed 2,002 young people from September 4 to 16 – margin of error +/- 2.65 pts.
