Hezbollah vuurt ballistische raket af op HQ Mossad bij Tel Aviv (1)
September 25, 2024 - Hezbollah has fired a ballistic missile targetting Israel’s spy agency headquarters near Tel Aviv – the first such rocket to target the country’s biggest city.
Hezbollah said the Qader-1 ballistic missile, which was launched after Israel’s intense bombardment of Lebanon killed nearly 600 people this week, targeted the headquarters of Israeli intelligence agency Mossad on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.
“The Islamic Resistance launched a ‘Qader 1’ ballistic missile at 6:30am (03:30 GMT) on Wednesday, 25-9-2024, targeting the Mossad headquarters in the outskirts of Tel Aviv,” Hezbollah said in a statement.
Israel claimed to have struck the launcher from which Hezbollah’s ballistic missile was fired, in the Nafakhiyeh area in southern Lebanon.
The Qader-1 is described by the Center for Strategic and International Studies as a variant of the Shahab 3 developed in Iran. Analysts believe it can carry a 800kg warhead and hit targets 2,000km away.
