November 5, 2024 - Thirty four U.S. Senate seats - 20 Democrat, nine Republican and four independent - and all 435 seats in the House of Representatives are up for election.

NOTE TO EDITORS: On election day from 00:00 GMT November 5 all data will automatically be cleared. First updates are expected after the first polls close East Coast at 18:00 local time (23:00GMT), as the result in each state is called by the National Election Pool. This is likely to start with exit polls, then moving to live counts and finally declared results as they are announced.
