July 4, 2024 - Britain is preparing for a General Election on July 4 after 14 years of Conservative rule, with the Labour Party holding a commanding lead according to latest polls.

Labour is on track to smash Tony Blair’s 1997 Labour record of 418 seats at the General Election. Starmer will become the first Labour prime minister since 2010 if Labour wins the election.

First results are normally expected around 11pm BST. NB we do not cover exit polls.
