London Stock Exchange raakt achterop bij rivalen
August 22, 2023 - The decision by British chip-maker Arm to list on the U.S. NASDAQ rather than in the UK is another blow to the once mighty London Stock Exchange.
Since peaking in 2007, the value of firms on the London Stock Exchange has fallen over 30% to just under $3 trillion while the market capitalization of U.S. stock exchanges has more than doubled to over $43 trillion. IPOs of companies listing on the LSE have fallen to their lowest level since the global financial crisis of 2009.
