Russische invasie: Situatie dag 516
July 24, 2023 - Odesa has been hit by another Russian barrage, with the port city repeatedly targeted by missile and drone attacks following the end of the Black Sea grain deal.
The deal had been set up to allow the export of Ukrainian grain to alleviate a global food crisis. Ahead of the Russia-African summit that will take place in St. Petersburg on July 27, and following criticism from the African Union, Russian president Vladimir Putin offered to replace Ukrainian grain supplies to Africa “both on a commercial and free-of-charge” basis.
Russia has blamed Ukraine for a “terrorist attack” on Moscow in which drones hit two buildings in central Moscow. An ammunition depot in Crimea was also on fire following a drone strike in which 11 were brought down by aerial defences.
