By Chris Dinsdale

January 25, 2023 - March 19, 2023 - The 57th edition of the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup -- the premier international circuit of alpine skiing competition. Mikaela Shiffrin, now the most successful woman in World Cup skiing history after overhauling compatriot Lindsey Vonn, could soon surpass the overall record of alpine legend Ingemar Stenmark.

Shiffrin now has 84 World Cup wins: 51 victories in the slalom, 19 in the giant slalom, five in the super-G, three in the downhill and city events, five in the parallel slalom and one in the Alpine combined.

She is the only skier in history to have secured victories in all six World Cup disciplines, and currently leads the 2022-23 World Cup standings aiming to win her fifth Overall title.
