Samsung onthult concept uitbreidbaar hybride tablet

January 5, 2023 - Samsung has unveiled the “Flex Hybrid” tablet concept, incorporating two innovative technologies into one.

South Korean technology giant Samsung proposes future mobile gadgets could have the ability to fold and slide their screens into new aspect ratios.

Its latest “Flex Hybrid” concept, on show at The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, demonstrates this vividly, with a unit that can unfold like its popular Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip smartphones, but also extend sideways via an unrolling OLED screen.

The new device can open to reveal a 10.5-inch (4:3 aspect ratio) display and then be further enlarged to a 12.4-inch (16:10 aspect ratio) screen size – making it compact for carrying but uniquely flexible for various functions.

CES takes place in Las Vegas from January 5-8, 2023 – the first fully in-person event since 2020 and the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic.
