Iran plant enorme uitbreiding uraniumverrijkingscapaciteit
November 23, 2022 - Iran is increasing its uranium enrichment activities at two nuclear sites in response to a censure resolution passed against it by the United Nations nuclear watchdog.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Tuesday confirmed that Iran has begun producing uranium enriched to 60% purity at the Fordow nuclear plant.
Iran also plans to add 14 advanced IR-6 centrifuge cascades at Fordow, which will enrich uranium up to 5% or 20%, the IAEA said.
Iran also plans to expand its underground uranium enrichment plant at Natanz by installing a second production building, capable of housing more than 100 centrifuge cascades, according to Reuters.
