July 8, 2022 - Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has died after being shot while making a campaign speech in Nara, Japan.

The former prime minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, was shot dead on Friday, while making a speech outside Yamato-Saidaiji Station in Nara, Japan.

A suspect, Tetsuya Yamagami, has been arrested in connection with the incident, which is believed to have involved a homemade gun.
