March 9, 2022 - Champions League Round of 16 first leg matches, including match-ups between Manchester City and Sporting Clube at the Etihad Stadium, and Real Madrid against Paris St. Germain at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. The draw for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League takes place in Nyon, Switzerland, on March 18.

The 2021-22 UEFA Champions League is the 30th season of Europe’s primary club football tournament.

Chelsea are defending champions having defeated English Premier League rivals Manchester City in the 2021 final.

Real Madrid are the most successful club in European Cup history, with 13 titles, ahead of AC Milan (7), Bayern Munich (6) and Liverpool (6).
