February 4, 2022 - February 20, 2022 - The 2022 winter Olympic Games, officially known as the XXIV Olympic Winter Games, take place in Beijing, China.

Situated on Xiaohaituo Mountain in northwest Yanqing, the Yanqing National Sliding Centre will host the men’s and women’s skeleton events at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. The “Snow Dragon” track is, at 1,975m long, the longest artificial track in the world and has 16 turns including a unique 360 degree turn.

Chinese athletes have been training in a virtual reality wind tunnel training system with six degrees of freedom developed by the China Academy of Aerospace Aerodynamics, which simulates the gravity, wind resistance, and track friction data in real time to help athletes form muscle memory of the track.
