U.S. Open wordt zonder publiek gespeeld op Winged Foot
September 17, 2020 - September 20, 2020 - The 120th U.S. Open Championship will be played at the Winged Foot course in Mamaroneck, New York. The tournament, rescheduled from June, is the second golf major to ban fans amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Winged Foot, located 25 miles (40km) north of New York City in Westchester County, last hosted the U.S. Open in 2006, when it was won by Australia’s Geoff Ogilvy.
Gary Woodland will return as defending champion after last year’s three-shot victory over Brooks Koepka at Pebble Beach.
