Champions League Kwartfinale, 15 aug

August 15, 2020 - The UEFA Champions League, Europe’s premier club football competition, enters the quarter-final stage, in which the remaining eight teams compete in a straight “Final Eight” knock-out tournament to decide the 2020 champions. The final takes place at the Estadio da Luz on August 23.

The fourth quarter-final features Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, appearing in their third successive Champions League quarter-final, against the improving Olympique Lyon. Both teams arrive in Lisbon with confidence after notable Last 16 victories over Real Madrid and Juventus respectively.

Quarter-final ties:
Aug 12: Atalanta v Paris St-Germain
Aug 13: Leipzig v Atletico Madrid
Aug 14: Barcelona v Bayern Munich
Aug 15: Manchester City v Olympique Lyon

The UEFA Champions League is contested by the highest ranked teams of the strongest UEFA national associations. It is the top club competition in European football and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. The Champions League final is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide.
