Strijd om Europees Kampioenschap wordt in Lissabon gestreden

August 7, 2020 - August 23, 2020 - The UEFA Champions League restarts with 12 teams still in contention to lift the trophy. After the remaining Last 16 ties are completed on home turf, a straight “Final Eight” knock-out tournament will decide the 2020 champions in Lisbon, Portugal. The final will take place at the Estadio da Luz on August 23.

After a five-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Champions League returns with a feast of football. Lisbon is the stage for seven highly anticipated heavyweight clashes as Atalanta, Paris Saint Germain, Leipzig, Atletico Madrid and four other teams battle to be crowned European champions of 2020.

Last 16 ties to be completed:
Manchester City v Real Madrid (Aug 7)
Juventus v Lyon (Aug 7)
Bayern Munich v Chelsea (Aug 8)
Barcelona v Napoli (Aug 8)

The UEFA Champions League is contested by the highest ranked teams of the strongest UEFA national associations. It is the top club competition in European football and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. The Champions League final is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide.
