Andy Ruiz Jr-Anthony Joshua zwaargewicht titelgevecht

By Chris Dinsdale

December 7, 2019 - British boxer Anthony Joshua aims to regain the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles against Mexican-American Andy Ruiz Jr at the Diriyah Arena, in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua, the 2012 Olympic champion, had notched up 22 wins since turning professional in 2013, before suffering a shock first defeat of his professional career against Ruiz at Madison Square Garden, New York, in June.

Ruiz, who scored his biggest career victory flooring Joshua four times en route to 7th round stoppage in first fight, has won 33 matches since making his professional debut in 2009, with a sole defeat coming against Joseph Parker in 2016.

The winner is likely to seek a bout with WBC title-holder Deontay Wilder to unify the heavyweight division for the first time since 1999.
