Von der Leyen onthult team commissarissen
September 10, 2019 - Ursula von der Leyen, binnenkort de nieuwe voorzitter van de Eurocommissie, heeft haar voorstellen voor de nieuwe commissie gepresenteerd.

The new Commission will have eight Vice-Presidents, including the new Foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell.
If proposals are accepted it will boast near gender parity, with 13 women and 14 men.
The proposed commissioners are drawn from each member
state except the UK, which has not appointed a candidate.
Once the Commission is fully constituted, the European Parliament will hold hearings of individual commissioners from Sep 30 to Oct 8, after which it has the option of approving or rejecting the entire team.
The new Commission will take office on November 1.
