September 11, 2011 - The National September 11 Memorial will be dedicated in New York City on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Victims’ families will attend the dedication ceremony before the memorial, named Reflecting Absence and located at the site of the destroyed World Trade Center, opens to the public the following day. The 9/11 museum, beneath the memorial, is due to open in September 2012.
