August 5, 2024 - The 2024 summer Olympic Games, the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, take place in Paris, France. At the Paris Olympics, U.S. sprinter Noah Lyles stormed to the 100m title by just five-thousandths of a second, ahead of Kishane Thompson of Jamaica. All eight men posted sub-10-second times – making it the fastest race in history.

All eight men finished within 0.12secs of claiming gold, while Oblique Seville finished 8th with a time of 9.91 -- enough to secure 4th at Tokyo 2020.

Noah Lyles hit his top speed of 43.6km/h at 60m to push into medal contention -- closing race better than any rival to clinch gold on the finish line.
