El ataque de las FDI merma la producción de misiles de Irán, incapacita sus defensas aéreas

By Jordi Bou

Targets comprised Iran’s air defences, missile and drone production, and launch facilities. Two researchers, analysing satellite imagery, told Reuters news agency that Israel had struck buildings in Parchin, a military complex near Tehran, and may have “significantly hampered Iran's ability to mass produce missiles”.

At Parchin, Israel hit a building called Taleghan 2 that was used for testing activities during the Amad Plan, Iran’s defunct nuclear weapons development programme.

Iran’s military has not acknowledged damage at either Parchin or Khojir from Israel’s attack, though it has said the assault killed four Iranian soldiers working in the country’s air defence systems.

The sites targeted by Israel included defences at the Bandar Imam Khomeini petrochemical complex, the port Bandar Imam Khomeini and at the Abadan oil refinery.

In addition to striking the defences around energy sites, the New York Times also reports that Israel’s attacks have effectively taken out four S-300 air-defence systems that Iran had purchased from Russia.
