Hezbollah fires ballistic missile at Mossad HQ near Tel Aviv
September 25, 2024 - Hezbollah has fired a ballistic missile targetting Israel’s spy agency headquarters near Tel Aviv – the first such rocket to target the country’s biggest city.
Hezbollah said the Qader-1 ballistic missile, which was launched after Israel’s intense bombardment of Lebanon killed nearly 600 people this week, targeted the headquarters of Israeli intelligence agency Mossad on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.
“The Islamic Resistance launched a ‘Qader 1’ ballistic missile at 6:30am (03:30GMT) on Sep 25, targeting the Mossad headquarters in the outskirts of Tel Aviv,” Hezbollah said in a statement.
Israel claimed to have struck the launcher from which Hezbollah’s ballistic missile was fired, in the Nafakhiyeh area in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah released a video boasting about the capabilities of the “Qader-1”, which the group says it has a range of 190 kilometres.
