Super Tuesday Schlachtfelder

Super Tuesday occurs on March 5, with millions of voters casting ballots in presidential primaries and caucuses. Also on the ballot will be races for both chambers of the US Congress -- the House of Representatives and Senate.

President Joe Biden is guaranteed to be confirmed as the Democratic party’s nominee.

Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley won the Washington DC Republican primary on Sunday -- her first victory so far -- with 62.9% of the vote versus 33.2% captured by Donald Trump.

For Democrats, 1,439 of the party’s 3,979 total delegates will be up for grabs on Tuesday, while 874 Republican delegates are at stake. A candidate needs at least 1,215 of 2,429 total delegates to clinch the Republican nomination.

Haley will pick up 19 delegates from her DC win. However, Super Tuesday could spell the end of the road for Haley.
