El universo Star Wars se expandira con nueve cintas nuevas

November 11, 2024 - Tras una pausa de varios años, Lucasfilm de Disney tiene una serie de nuevas cintas de Star Wars en diversas etapas de producción yse espera que el primer estreno llegue a los cines en 2026.

Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward to in the next few years after Disney-owned Lucasfilm announced a brand new movie trilogy under the stewardship of writer/producer Simon Kinberg.

Very little is known about the project apart from rumours it will feature an entirely new set of characters and be labeled Episodes X, XI and XII.

Outside of the new announcement, Lucasfilm already has six other Star Wars films in various stages of production, with the first release likely to hit cinemas in 2026.

1) The Mandalorian and Grogu (2026)
2) Star Wars: New Jedi Order (2026)
3) Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi (2027)
4) Star Wars: Lando (release date to be confirmed)
5) Untitled Dave Filoni movie (TBC)
6) Untitled Taika Waititi movie (TBC)
7) Episode X (TBC)
8) Episode XI (TBC)
9) Episode XII (TBC)

The addition of nine new movies would bring the Star Wars cinematic franchise total to 20 feature films.
