Guerra de anuncios de Harris y Trump
August 15, 2024 - El ingreso de la vicepresidenta Kamala Harris a la carrera presidencial contra el expresidente Donald Trump ha inyectado millones de dólares en publicidad en siete estados pendulares.
Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign has bought $157.8 million in advertising to introduce the Democrat to voters and sharpen the contrast with Republican Donald Trump in swing states.
Buoyed by a rush of fundraising since Harris replaced President Joe Biden at the top of the party’s ticket, the campaign is countering Trump and his allies’ media buy.
According to media tracking firm AdImpact data, the Trump campaign has spent $184.9 million to reach voters in seven battleground states -- Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Harris’ team said the ad campaign will focus on the vice president’s narrative, her career as a prosecutor in California, her commitment to standing up to powerful interests, and a contrast with what it termed Trump’s “dangerous, extreme agenda.”
AdImpact projects the 2023-2024 election cycle will be the most expensive of all time, with a total of $10.2 billion in political expenditures across broadcast, cable, radio, satellite, digital, and CTV -- a 13% increase over the previous record of $9.02 billion set during the 2019-2020 election cycle.
