Terremoto en Marruecos mata a cientos

September 9, 2023 - Un potente terremoto de magnitud 6,8 ha sacudido el centro deMarruecos, matando a más de mil personas y destruyendo edificios,convirtiéndose en el sismo más letal en décadas en el país.

The epicentre was in the High Atlas Mountains, 71km south-west of Marrakesh, at a depth of 18.5km, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

In Marrakech, some buildings in the old city, a Unesco World Heritage site, have been damaged or destroyed.

Several world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, offered assistance to Morocco.
