Sep 8: The Rugby World Cup kicks off with a spectacular opening match between host nation France and three-time champions New Zealand at the Stade de France.

Sep 9-10: The G20 summit takes place in New Delhi, with the Ukraine war and the disruption in global food and fuel supplies expected to be high on the agenda.

Sep 24: NASA’s OSIRIS-REx, the first U.S. mission to collect samples from an asteroid, returns to Earth with material from the asteroid Bennu.
