Invasión rusa: Informe de situación - día 499

By Phil Bainbridge

July 7, 2023 - El presidente Alexander Lukashenko de Bielorrusia hadicho que el jefe de Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin está todavía en Rusia a pesar del pacto que negoció para poner fn a la insurrección de su grupo mercenario.

Under the terms of the deal, Prizoghin was believed to have agreed to stand down his mercenary force and relocate to Belarus, in return for unspecified security guarantees. However Lukashenko has begun to distance himself from the deal as it appears Prizoghin has not yet agreed to redeploy Wagner forces to Belarus, and is now moving freely within Russia, to St Petersburg - where he collected some weapons from an FSB building - and possibly even to Moscow.

U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to approve a new arms package for Ukraine that will controversially include cluster munitions, which are banned in more than 120 countries. Human Rights Watch says they will cause long-term suffering for civilians and urged on Moscow and Kyiv to stop using them.
