“Pixel Fold” de Google destaca la falta de un iPhone plegable

May 11, 2023 - Con el lanzamiento del smartphone Pixel Fold de Google, todas lasgrandes marcas que usan el sistema operativo Android tienen ahora una opción disponible de dispositivo plegable para los consumidores.

Google has joined the throng of foldable smartphones by launching the “Pixel Fold” – a sleek $1,800 premium product that looks set to give Samsung a run for its money.

As demand for foldable devices rapidly grows, likely to become the fastest-growing area in an otherwise shrinking smartphone market dominated by Samsung (79% market share), it begs the question: Where is the iPhone foldable?

Apple is believed to have been working on foldable screen technology for a few years but appears to be in no hurry to bring a product to market.

This is nothing new for Apple, which often takes its time and then enters an established sector with a better product than its rivals.

But the clock is ticking, and analysts believe Apple needs to bring a foldable iPhone to market by 2025 or risk missing out on a lucrative market worth tens of billions of dollars.
