Ukraine used to export most of its agricultural produce via its Black Sea ports but large quantities of cheaper Ukrainian grain and other products ended up in Central Europe after the Russian invasion blocked the ports, affecting prices and sales for local farmers. The EU has warned however that unilateral action by member states is unacceptable.
Russia has released and returned home 130 Ukrainian prisoners of war to mark Orthodox Easter. There has been no confirmation on the number of Russian PoWs returned in what Kyiv described as a “great Easter exchange”.
