January 16, 2023 - La ciifra de muertes por un ataque con un misil ruso Kh-22 en un edificio residencial en la ciudad oriental de Dnipró ha aumentado a 35, incluyendo dos niños. Por los menos 73 personas sufrieron lesiones y más de 40 continúan desaparecidas.

Russian claims to control the whole of the town of Soledar, including its western outskirts, have been confirmed by Ukrainian sources. Russia is now making marginal gains in attacks on Bakhmut and the surrounding territory.

Russia and Belarus are conducting joint air force drills as part of the military co-operation which Minsk claims is “purely defensive in nature” but which observers in Ukrainians believe has echoes of the build-up to the invasion of their country in February 2022, and has raised fears of a renewed Russian offensive from the north.
